Exciting news!

We’ve successfully secured a spot in the first cohort (we’re one of the Top 9!) of the MDEC Digital Tourism Innovation Lab. This initiative, supported by Tourism Malaysia, marks the inaugural travel tech cohort for both MDEC and 1337 Ventures, with plans to roll out three cohorts this year.

And Helolokal is proud to be among the pioneers selected for this program!

MDEC, short for Malaysia Digital Economy Corporation, is a government agency established in 1996 under the Ministry of Digital. Its mission is to lead Malaysia’s digital economy.

Meanwhile, 1337 Ventures is a Venture Capital (VC) firm in Malaysia specializing in early-stage startups, is dedicated to guiding them through every growth phase.

In collaboration, both MDEC and 1337 Ventures are committed to discovering, funding, and launching emerging startups in the travel tech space in this program.

Our exciting journey in this program kicks off tomorrow 16 January 2024, and we would greatly appreciate your encouragement and support along the way!

To us, 2024 is going to be a year of discovery and growth. Its all about to unlearn and to relearn again.
