Bondulu Children Home needs your HELP.

Helolokal will be organizing DiTAMU:BORNEO at  MATic (Malaysia Tourism Information Centre) in Jalan Ampang on the 27 May 2023 (Saturday) from 12.00pm to 7.30pm.

It is a HALF-day event featuring 3 private screenings of documentary film KITA – Sabah Celebrating Diversity” (show is screening for the first time in Kuala Lumpur!) and showcase of everything Borneo at the bazaar, from food to crafts.

The highlight of the event is of course, the charity private screening of “KITA – Sabah Celebrating Diversity”, where raised funds will be used to equip Bondulu Children Home (Rumah Kanak Kanak Bondulu) in Tambunan with new digital devices (laptops and hopefully enough funds for a printer).

At the moment, the home only have few old refurbished PCs that was donated to them few years ago by well wishers. The elder children also have to queue using them too.

Sometimes the connectivity is also a challenge for them. Unfortunately, due to the size of these PCs, they are impossible to be taken out from the home to be use elsewhere.

The existing PCs were also old in terms of its specifications, it is also not practical for the older children to use in the event they needed it for group study in school.

We hope that the public will be generous with their support not only towards the cause but also because the documentary film is 100% locally directed and produced by a Sabah based production house.

Since its a fundraising project, ticket prices starts at RM55 per pax.

You are allowed to purchase more than one ticket. Each purchase comes with proof of receipt and free seating arrangement.

To support the charity screening and to purchase the tickets, you may choose your time slots from the following:

So, what is the documentary movie “KITA” is all about?

“KITA – SABAH CELEBRATING DIVERSITY” is a 1 hour 45 minutes documentary film consisting of a 3 separate, yet inter-related sections, following the real-life stories of 10 ordinary Sabahans and through their lenses we experience “strength”, “beauty” and “deliciousness” of our diverse society.

It projects the realities, values, and aspirations of the people in embracing, celebrating and preserving cultural diversity in Sabah.

The entire production took nearly two years to complete, including 10 months of shooting throughout 15 locations in Sabah and Kuala Lumpur.

The film is produced entirely by local crews (Videographics Productions Sdn Bhd) in collaboration with SUIDCP and funded by FINAS.
